Gault & Millau 2005

‘The Château de Lastours 2001 (Carignan, Grenache) is a full bodied intense wine. The Grande Rompue 2000 (Carignan, Grenache, Cinsault) is more vanilla-scented and suave. The Cuvée Simone Descamps (Carignan, Grenache, Syrah), generally very enjoyable, unfortunately hasn’t been able to avoid the climatic problems affecting the 2002 vintage….’

Guide Gilbert / Gaillard 2005

‘Garnet colour. A pleasant nose combining a fruity depth with spicy floral notes, which are also found in the mouth. A wine which is at once powerful and subtle. A balanced, characterful Corbières.‘

‘This domaine, unusually, offers the opportunity for young disabled people to work and thereby to benefit from independent activity. Several cuvées have been developed; all solid, serious and balanced. In the reds, the top of the range is the cuvée bearing simply the name of the château: it is a wine which ages well…’

Le guide Hachette des vins 2004

‘The wines are good, and to judge by this cuvée, elegant, round, robust, harmonious and authentic, where vanilla is blended with spicy and fruity nuances.’
